A Fall Stroll with My Cat
Today, I had a special walk in the backyard with Leo. For quite some time, his allergies had kept us from our usual strolls outside. Leo, who loves being outdoors, would look at us longingly every morning, asking to go out. My heart broke each time I had to refuse him, but his health came first. Occasionally, to comfort him, Iβd carry him in my arms and take him for a short walk around the yard.
This morning, Leoβs request to go outside was more persistent than usual. Unable to resist, I carefully lifted him and took him to the backyard. Memories of him dashing through the grass, chasing butterflies, and playing hide-and-seek with lizards flooded back to me. So, with a gentle smile, I set him down on the ground.
At first, Leo seemed a bit cautious, but soon enough, he couldnβt hide his joy, rolling in the grass with excitement. He began exploring, sniffing here and there, just like the little adventurer he is. As I followed behind him, I looked around and realized how fall had quietly arrived. The crisp air, the hint of autumn colors in the treesβall of it reminded me of how beautiful the season is. Thanks to Leo, I got to enjoy the fresh air and rest my eyes, feeling an uplifting sense of peace.
Kiwi, curious but hesitant, stayed inside. I think she finds comfort in her familiar surroundings. Meanwhile, Leo and I continued our slow, leisurely walk, savoring the beauty of fall together. Moments like these with my cats remind me of the warmth and joy they bring into my life.
Thanks to Leo and Kiwi, my days are filled with love and comfort. Today, as always, their presence made me grateful and brought a gentle happiness to my heart.
